The business is registered at 50-01 2nd St, Long Island City, NY 11101; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. This group covers the other places gardeners shop and the businesses that turned up next to garden centers on the map: gift and home decor stores, pet and grocery stores with seasonal plants, craft and antique shops, and local services that do not fit a gardening category. Supermarkets and home stores are useful for a quick bag of potting soil or a pot of herbs; a nursery is the better choice for advice and plants suited to your yard.

Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Long Island City peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. I’ve been a loyal customer here for quite some time now, so I’m not the type to leave reviews because I’m usually delighted with the service here, especially with the more experienced cashiers. But I had a very unpleasant experience with the new young lady with the blue hair the other day (I believe her name to be Ashly, as it written in the receipt). I hate to say this, but she was very rude to me. I’m not sure if it’s personal, but when Im there, I usually try to engage and small talk with the cashiers. However, with her, I was met with a stern stare, almost as if I was intruding or disrupting something. Then, I asked her a simple question about the sales. She rolled her eyes at me and told me I had the wrong item (which I admit was my mistake). I asked for the receipt because I had taken some dairy items. When I asked for it, the cashier gave me a look and harshly handed me the receipt. I felt embarrassed and humiliated to be there. I genuinely tried to dismiss it because I didn’t want to seem pessimistic, but it has happened more than twice now. I’ve heard from friends and neighbors who had similar experiences with the same cashier and I believe the managers should be made awar

First time been here, i came since 10.05pm , i was spent 51 mins found 22 items! And there few items not available! so confusing the way they organize the items. I asked few items to the cashier with the long hair , she’s not helping , she has no idea at all! Usually every supermarket cashier they know what isles the items, how come she doesn’t know ? Then if she doesn’t know how about me ?

Urban Market in Long Island City is one of those convenience-style spots that’s honestly perfect when you need something *right now*, but not so great if you’re trying to save money. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the price — everything costs way more than what you’d pay at a regular grocery store or big chain. Snacks, drinks, even basics like chips and bottled water are marked up, and if you’re just browsing it can feel a little painful at checkout. That said, the convenience factor is real. If you’re out and about around LIC and realize you forgot something — like lunch, a drink, medicine, or a quick snack — Urban Market is super clutch. They’ve usually got a decent selection of essentials, ready-to-eat food, and random last-minute needs, so you can grab what you need and get out without a long detour. For people commuting or just in a rush, that ease is worth paying a bit extra. The store itself is clean and laid out reasonably well, so you don’t feel like you’re digging through clutter to find what you want. The staff seem friendly enough, too, which is nice since convenience stores can sometimes be hit or miss on service. So yeah — **really high prices**, no

It really is hit or miss when getting meats from here whether it’s beef or chicken since sometimes they can be a bit old. This time however was really unacceptable. This section of the store needs to be monitored better because this is disgusting.

I’ve been a loyal customer here mainly because of its proximity to Hunter’s Point, but it’s worth traveling further for my grocery/home needs — Target, Trader Joe’s, and CVS aren’t too far. If you’re ever purchasing a sandwich here, expect the prices to be different each and every time — expect a cold sandwich to cost more than a hot sandwich. Whenever I address the inconsistent pricing, they just shrug it off. You’re better off going to the local deli where prices are listed and consistent. Fruits and veggies are typically overpriced. Don’t get me started on the sushi… it says they’re made fresh daily… right. Also, if they sell you defective kitchen items (such as a can opener), don’t expect them to exchange it if it has been past seven days since purchasing it. Just because an item was bought past seven days doesn’t mean it’s being used immediately. To top it off, there are just a handful of people who work there with personable attitudes.
